Let me handle the stress!
Method:
I use Saxon Math, a spiral method approach to mathematical concepts. Each idea that is taught gets reviewed regularly so that student’s master the subject and gain extreme confidence in their math skills. The consistent review improves comprehension, SAT scores and college entrance exam scores.
My heart:
To help homeschool families stop the struggle of math. I love the subject, I love the kids, and I want you to be able to focus on other subjects so that you can keep your amazing relationship in tact. I keep a homeschool feel to my classes; small class sizes, and a relaxed atmosphere. I am a teacher and I take that job to heart. These are my kids and I want the best for them.
What can I do that video programs can't?
- Video programs do a good job teaching the subject matter. However, they can not stop and answer a question for your student. They can not review problems from the homework, nor can they engage your student in mathematical conversation.
- In my classes your student will experience a tutorial method based around Oxford's system of learning. A few students hold conversations with a tutor who is an expert in the topic. A tutorial setting allows for discussion and deeper understanding of the subject matter.
- You've tried videos, you've tried self- teaching, you've fought, you've been patient, you've given it your all. Hiring a teacher could be the life preserver you are looking for.
- Your student will enjoy coming to math class. What, can I really claim that? YES! Students enjoy class, get their work done, and master the subject. All without stress between you and your child 🥰
